Abstract
The article contains a description of the solution to the problem of reading with a camera the quantities measured by a measuring device with a digital display, without communication with a computer. The system of determining camera position relative to the device, the way of defining the image area containing display sections and the method of its processing based on an artificial Hebba-type neural network are presented.
