The article presents selected terms used in the feld of goldsmithing – ancient and modern, specialized and colloquial, commonly used for naming goldsmith items – in the context of their usefulness for employees of the assay ofces who test and hallmark the articles made from precious metals and issue certifcates of testing for them.
