The project “Metrology for Meteorology” ended

The project JRP ENV07 MeteoMet “Metrology for Meteorology. Metrology for pressure, temperature, humidity and airspeed in the atmosphere” has ended.

The coordinator of the project was Instituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica from Italy (INRiM). Poland was represented by Central Office of Measures, Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research Polish Academy of Science and Department of Climatology and Atmospheric Observation of the University of Wroclaw.

This JRP (Joint Research Programme) implemented within the European Metrology Research Programme. It was focused on the traceability of measurements involved in climate changes: surface and upper air measurements of temperature, pressure, humidity, wind speed and direction, solar irradiance and reciprocal influences between measurands.

On October 1st, 2014 the JRP EMRP ENV58 MeteoMet2 “Metrology for Essential Climate Variables” has started.
