Visit of a delegation from Azerbaijan to the Central Office of Measures
On 22–23 April this year, the Central Office of Measures hosted a delegation from Azerbaijan, comprising Mr Khamis Seyranov, Director General of the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute, and Mr Rovshan Amirjanov, Deputy Director of the Consumer Goods Expertise Center.
On the first day of the visit, the delegation from Azerbaijan met with the management of the Regional Assay Office in Warsaw and also visited selected Laboratories of the Office.
On the second day of the visit, a Memorandum on Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Central Office of Measures and the Azerbaijan Metrology Institute was signed. The Memorandum primarily provides for cooperation involving the exchange of expertise and technical knowledge, the development and improvement of measurement standards, and the undertaking of capacity-building initiatives, including workshops and training programmes. The guests also familiarised themselves with the activities of the Central Office of Measures and visited selected Laboratories of the Time and Length Metrology Department, the Electricity and Radiation Metrology Department, the Mechanics and Acoustics Metrology Department, and the Physical Chemistry and the Environment Metrology Department.
