Participation of GUM representatives in 16th EURAMET General Assembly

16th General Assembly of EURAMET was held in the dates of 30th May - 2nd June, combined with a meeting of the EMPIR Committee and a meeting of the Metrology Partnership Committee.

During the meeting, a number of important issues were discussed, relating to strictly substantive activities, such as the approval of new European Metrology Networks (Food Safety and Pollution Monitoring), as well as administrative, financial and human resources issues. A representative of Belgium, Ms Miruna Dobre, was elected as Vice-President of EURAMET, representatives of Switzerland, United Kingdom, Estonia and Norway were elected as the members of the Board of Directors. Member of the Internal Audit Committee and the chairman of the Ionizing Radiation Committee were also elected for the next term.

Budget of EURAMET and financial reports were also approved. During the plenary session, participants got acquainted with the reports on the work of the technical committees as well as with the reports from the activities of other metrological international organisations. Delegates also discussed the situation related to the invasion on Ukraine.

Next General Assembly is planned at the end of May/beginning of June 2023.
