LIST OF HALLMARKING FEES

§1. For assaying precious metal articles and semi-finished precious metal products for dental purposes, hereinafter referred to as “dental materials”, submitted by the manufacturer, importer or authorized representative, irrespective of the assaying method used, the following fees are charged for each gram of assayed product or dental material:
 1) platinum, palladium or gold- PLN 1.05
 2) silver or silver palladium- PLN 0.10
 
§2. For assaying precious metal articles and dental materials, submitted by private individuals, irrespective of the assaying method used, the following fees are charged for each gram of assayed product or dental material:
 1) platinum, palladium or gold- PLN 3.00
 2) silver or silver palladium- PLN 0.50
 
§3. For assaying silver jewellery whose mass exceeds 50 g in weight, silver body products and silver cutlery, irrespective of the party submitting it and of the assaying method used, a fee of PLN 0.07 is charged per gram or part gram of assayed product.
 
§4.1. In calculating fees under §§ 1 - 3 each started assayed gram is regarded as a full gram of assayed product or dental material, with reservation made to item 2.
   2. In the event of the majority part of the mass constituting the product not being of precious metal, the fee referred to under §§ 1 - 3 is charged per gram or part gram of assayed product.
 
§5. For raw materials, semi-finished products and precious metal scrap submitted to the chemical analysis method, the following fees are charged for each analysis:
 1) platinum, palladium- PLN 40.00
 2) gold- PLN 35.00
 3) silver- PLN 10.00
 
§6. For assaying precious metal watch-cases by touchstone method the following fees are charged for each assayed item:
 1) platinum, palladium or gold- PLN 10.00
 2) silver- PLN 4.00
 
§7. For assaying precious metal watch-cases, submitted without their mechanisms as well as other non-precious metal parts and cover glass, fees as charged as under §1.
 
§8. For assaying, by touchstone method, precious metal products containing a Polish hallmark and confirmation of such hallmark, the following fees for each assayed item are charged:
 1) platinum, gold or palladium- PLN 2.00
 2) silver- PLN 0.60
 
§9. Fees charged as under §§ 1-8 also include the hallmarking fee or the relevant issued certificate.
 
§10. For assaying, by touchstone method, non-precious metal products, covered with precious metal coating or in appearance resembling precious metal products and marking with “MET” a fee of PLN 0.60 for each assayed item.
 
§11. For testing each individual sample of assay liquid the following fee is charged: PLN 2.00.
 
§12. For placing a laser hallmark on the product, a fee of PLN 1.00 is charged for each hallmarked item.
 
§13. For marking the product, on request of the manufacturer, importer or authorized representative, with the manufacturer’s or importer’s personal sign or marking it as “MET” a fee of PLN 0.50 is charged for each marked item.
 
§14. For issuing, on request of the interested party, of an official description containing information on results of tests carried out on precious metal alloys or products made of such alloys, a fee of PLN 3.00 is charged.
 
§15. For issuing, on request of the interested party, an assay administrative body statement confirming tests and markings made by the body, a fee of PLN 10.00 is charged.
 
§16. For issuing an assay confirmation, of which mention is made under §15, in the English language, a fee of PLN 20.00 is charged.
