Polish Assay Offices test and mark jewellers' precious metal alloy articles (gold, silver and platinum family metals). They also supervise compliance with Hallmarking Law at processing plants and precious metal alloy sales points.
All Assay Offices must report to Główny Urząd Miar (Central Office of Measures).
