GUM's participation in the EURAMET's General Assembly

On 15-19 May 2017 the GUM delegation with the President dr Włodzimierz Lewandowski, participated in the 11th EURAMET's General Assembly, organised together with the EMPIR committee meeting in Madrid.

The most important event of the four-day meeting was the election of the new EURAMET president, Dr Hanse Arne Frøystein from Norway. During the session were also hearings reports on the work of technical committees and projects which these committees are leading. In addition, Moldova was accepted as an affiliate. GUM representatives met with other NMI's board members, including representatives of the Turkish metrology institute (Tubitak UME). Possible areas of future cooperation were discussed.
There was also announced that the next meeting would take place from 28 May to 1 June 2018 in Bucharest.
